Las Vegas Roulette Question

A reader writes: hello, i saw your web site and was wondering if you had any inside info on the following...thanks for your time....ive done some research and am still interested in coming to vegas to place some bets on french roulette but im concerned about finding a fair and reputable croupier and pit boss. meaning , i dont mind being beat by the table but not by the operator. ive heard that some croupier's can drop the ball wherever their boss wants them to.... can you offer anything on this? thanks

My reply:

I don't think the croupiers and casinos cheat at roulette by dropping the ball anywhere they want. The house has enough of an edge that they don't have to cheat.
